Charbonzickpean
If you have ever been confidently asked the difference between two things that turned out to be exactly the same thing, you are not alone.
Charbonzickpean is dedicated to raising awareness about superfluous nomenclature: the harmful practice of giving multiple names to a single item and then acting like everyone else should already know that. For too long, ordinary people have been left exposed to public embarrassment, strained friendships, and improvised explanations built on nothing but false confidence.
The chickpea/garbanzo bean crisis is only one example. Behind every redundant label is a moment of hesitation, a quiet loss of trust, and, sometimes, a five-minute spiral of increasingly specific guesses. We believe clarity matters. We believe dignity matters. And we believe one bean should have one name.
Join us in the fight for a simpler, more honest world.
Take the Pledge
- I will not shame others for failing to identify duplicate names.
- I will not weaponize prior bean knowledge.
- I will choose clarity over smugness whenever possible.
